Community

APS Energy Services sees its role in the community as that of a partner and regards this role as highly as any other aspect of its business. The company enjoys partnerships with many key organizations throughout the State that make a difference in the lives of its neighbors. The Pinnacle West family believes the community benefits from working together toward a common goal, and is ready to do its part as it joins its partners in building a better tomorrow.

Charitable Giving

Each year, APS Energy Services, its employees and the entire Pinnacle West family distinguish themselves through their support of United Way and other charitable organizations. The corporation donates Millions of dollars in community support annually – dollars that are channeled directly into the hands of social service organizations that are making a difference each day. The corporation supports nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) Internal Revenue Service tax exempt status through cash and/or in-kind services. Pinnacle West supports its communities in five strategic areas: health and human services, community development, education, arts and culture and the environment.

Volunteerism

Thousands of hours to charitable causes and organizations are dedicated each year. While not part of their jobs, volunteering is at the core of Pinnacle West’s culture and is just one way employees give back to the communities in which they live and work. Over the years, employees, friends and families have walked, climbed, bowled and cleaned all in the name of charity. Some of the organizations supported through these volunteer efforts include:
