Hualapai Indian Nation

The Hualapai Indian Nation, located predominantly along the Western edge of the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona, partnered with APS Energy Services to design and construct a solar hybrid project to provide power to this remote region. The Tribe received a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service to build electric generation and distribution infrastructure at Grand Canyon West. Yavapai - Apache Nation

The Yavapai-Apache Nation issued a nationwide Request for Proposals for a Commercial Solar System in Camp Verde, Arizona. The obective of the Nation was to ensure a constant source of power at the Yavapai-Apache Medical Center in the event of an outage, reduce their electrical load and, as a consequence of this reduction, help preserve precious natural resources.
