    • Project Analysis/Audit Services

    The Preliminary Audit (PA) involves completing an inventory of all energy-related systems and determining the difference between the current systems energy use and costs compared to a new, more efficient system or systems and the financial operating impact of the installation of new systems. Normally, APS Energy Services first performs a PA with its Clients to identify if the possibility for overall system improvements is warranted by energy savings. If warranted, APS Energy Services then prepares an Investment Grade Audit (IGA) which provides a complete life cycle economic analysis that can be used for investment and contract purposes based upon the Client’s requirements.     Renewable Energy Services

    APS Energy Services is experienced in implementing and customizing renewable energy solutions for our Clients. We have project experience in the following renewable energy solutions: Solar Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal, Biomass, Cogeneration, Wind, Geothermal, Anaerobic Digestion; Wastewater Treatment Plants and District Energy.     Energy Efficiency Services

    Lighting, heating and refrigeration are significant sources of energy usage, and significant savings can be realized through a comprehensive implementation program. Throughout any energy conservation project, experienced Project Managers continually work with Clients to develop energy savings strategies that enhance systems operation and save energy. These energy strategies are implemented by installing energy efficient equipment and establishing procedures to train personnel to properly operate, control and maintain equipment. Top

    Energy Information

    As part of an energy management strategy, APS Energy Services offers MyEnergyPro™, which is a state-of-the-art Internet energy information service that monitors electric meters at a Client’s facilities. This offering provides high resolution of energy usage which can be used to meet many data requirements required of the Client. This service will enable the Client to view metered energy usage, reduce energy costs, access energy usage information, improve resource allocation, verify electronic billing accuracy, process scheduling, and identify saving opportunities.Top

    Rebate Facilitation

    In a typical year, APS Energy Services will secure for its Clients in excess of $5 million in utility incentives. APS Energy Services' dedicated Rebate Department continually works with the public utilities to maintain an awareness of the latest incentive program guidelines to help maximize the amount of additional funding our Clients can expect to receive.     Engineering/Design Services

    APS Energy Services will design energy-related systems with in-house and contracted professional engineers and design professionals. The services performed may consist of developing conceptual designs, and pre-construction design at 60%, 90% and 100% design levels. The design services will also include design review, construction specifications, post-design activities and as-built drawings. In all cases, design documents will conform to Client design standards.     Financing

    APS Energy Services has experience working with ever-changing Federal funding programs such as Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG), Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBs) and Recovery Zone Economic Development Bonds (RZEDs). Additionally, APS Energy Services maintains a dedicated Rebate Department that will seek all available tax credits, utility rebates or incentives for the project at hand. Having also been involved with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), APS Energy Services has established relationships with several financial entities capable of this transaction structure. Top

    Design/Build Services

    APS Energy Services works closely with our Clients to custom design and implement energy projects. As the General Contractor, APS Energy Services installs all project specific materials and equipment in compliance with applicable local, state, and national codes and regulations. This includes all permitting, materials, services, supervision, tools, safety and labor. The complex nature of performance contracting requires careful, well-thought equipment selection which takes into consideration the size, history of the manufacturer and Client preferences. APS Energy Services requires all selected equipment to have been tested, inspected and meet industry standards. Top

    Project Management/Construction Services

    APS Energy Services emphasizes project planning, contract management and project measurement and control. The Senior Project Manager will have responsibility for the global coordination of the multiple sites required by this opportunity. Assigned APS Energy Services staff will be at each site to act as an interface manager/control manager, to identify all required tasks and to ensure all tasks are efficiently carried out by the Project Team to the satisfaction of the Client and APS Energy Services.     Measurement and Verification (M&V) Service

    M&V of energy savings and projects is a crucial part in successful energy project implementation. APS Energy Services has certified M&V professionals on staff to work with Clients to verify savings of projects implemented by third party contractors or as part of an APS Energy Services implemented energy services program. APS Energy Services is also highly experienced in tailoring, writing, evaluating and servicing M&V plans. Top

    Training Service

    Initiating an energy savings program begins a continual improvement process, rather than a specific project that has a short term goal. A knowledgeable and engaged staff can make the difference between a project that exceeds savings targets and one that requires continuous program resolution to meet its objectives. Top

    Operations & Maintenance Service

    During the PA, APS Energy Services will perform preliminary surveys of energy systems and interview facility personnel to identify potential opportunities for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) savings. O&M savings may be realized from warranties associated with new equipment (i.e. lighting systems), reduced operating hours associated with equipment controls (energy management system) and replacement of older equipment. APS Energy Services offers low-cost preventive maintenance plans for heating and cooling equipment. Maintenance services can include one annual visit followed by scheduled operation checks or a plan that can be customized to meet a Client's specific needs. Top

    Commissioning

    Continuous Commissioning (CC) is one of the most cost effective Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) that can be applied to an energy conservation project. Annual savings are typically 15%-25%, and simple paybacks normally run from one to three years. It is possible to apply the CC process to buildings and central plants as a standalone energy efficiency process or as an ECM following a major capital retrofit energy project. Top
